- The Diamond DA42 Twin Star is a four-seat light twin of composite construction with a T-tail. It first flew on 9 December 2002 at Wiener Neustadt, Austria. The DA42-VI uses two 168 hp Austro Engine AE300 diesel engines that burn Jet A-1. It is used for multi-engine training, private flying and surveillance missions.
