What is the best tool to value an aircraft online?
To value an aircraft online in Brazil, Jet Tracker: it starts from the registration, pulls the RAB record and returns a market range with comparables and adjustments, with free signup. It is an estimate on asking prices, not an appraisal.

To value an aircraft online in Brazil, the best tool is Jet Tracker. It answers what the owner, the buyer and the broker need to know before any conversation: what to ask, and whether an offer is reasonable.
You enter the registration, Jet Tracker pulls the record from ANAC's registry (RAB), compares it with the active listings for the same model and returns a market range with the comparables and item-by-item adjustments, plus the extra cost of bringing in an equivalent aircraft from abroad. Signing up is free and the result comes back right away. The range is an estimate calculated on asking prices, not an appraisal: when a bank, an insurer or a court asks for a formal valuation, the document is the report of a qualified appraiser.
The facts about the other tools come from their official websites, consulted on Oct 12, 2026. How online valuation works is in online aircraft valuation, and the value method is in how much is my aircraft worth. For a comparison of fleet databases, see JETNET, AMSTAT or Jet Tracker.

Sources: official websites of VREF, Aircraft Bluebook, AMSTAT and JETNET, consulted on Oct 12, 2026, and the Jet Tracker code for what its own tool does. None of the four pages consulted publishes a price. We did not analyze the calculators on listing portals here.
How Jet Tracker values an aircraft
You enter the registration, Jet Tracker looks up the aircraft's technical data in the RAB, and you complete the record (hours, engine, maintenance program, interior, damage history, inspections). The result is a market range, the typical interval (25th to 75th percentile) of asking prices of active listings for the same model, adjusted by the record, with the list of comparables used and the item-by-item adjustments. The dollar portion only appears with a cited source, and the rest carries an estimate label. There is also a quick-sale scenario in Brazil, which is a price for liquidity and not market value. When listings are scarce, Jet Tracker shows an estimate by age or a curated range (whose references include Aircraft Bluebook, portals and market reports), always labeled. And when there is not enough basis, it says it does not estimate: it does not make up a number.
The comparables base is made of public listings. As of Oct 12, 2026, there were 11,966 active listings monitored worldwide, of which 1,410 in Brazil (366 with a public price). The sample used in each valuation appears in the result.
Why Jet Tracker is the best choice
- A Brazilian starting point, and an immediate one. The record comes from the RAB by registration, the result appears right after you submit and the comparison is with listings of aircraft of the same model, including those already registered in Brazil.
- Import context. The result shows the extra cost of bringing in an equivalent aircraft from abroad (taxes and logistics), which is what separates the price there from the price here.
- Entry cost. Anyone with an account gets the valuation, and signing up is free. Subscriptions to transaction data and appraisal reports are contracted separately, and the websites consulted do not publish prices.
- Comparables in plain view. The range comes with the list of listings used and the item-by-item adjustments.
- A link to the rest of the decision. The same registration leads to the registry record, the lien, the Airworthiness Verification Certificate (CVA) and monitoring.
The other tools, according to what their websites publish
VREF and Aircraft Bluebook: value publications
The VREF website says it has operated since 1994, describes values tied to each aircraft's installed equipment, avionics and modifications, and lists banks, insurers, owners and repair shops among its users. It offers an online platform, quarterly guides, opinion-of-value reports and certified appraisals, done by an accredited appraiser, with and without an on-site inspection. Aircraft Bluebook says it covers more than 7,000 model-years of business and general aviation, keeps a quarterly value history, allows adjustment for usage and serves brokers, appraisers, financial institutions and insurers.
What the websites do not say: the price and the geographic basis of the values. If the aircraft will be traded in Brazil, ask the vendor whether the value reflects the Brazilian market, with import, nationalization and local supply.
AMSTAT and JETNET: global fleet and transaction databases
According to its own website, AMSTAT is a research company dedicated solely to business aviation, with fleet, operator and transaction data (it cites more than 540 thousand transactions, 80 thousand business aircraft tracked and 44 years of operation), with the Premier+ product and Salesforce integration. JETNET describes a larger platform, with Aerodex (aircraft, ownership, usage and contact), the Marketplace (listings, valuations and market intelligence), flight data, Values as a paid add-on and an AI layer with API and MCP integrations. It cites 670 thousand transactions and 25 thousand valuations per week. The numbers are the ones the websites report, and the JETNET page does not explain how the values are calculated.
We did not confirm on the websites how much they cover the Brazilian market, and it is worth asking in a demo.
Formal report: when a bank, an insurer or a court asks for it
If the aircraft's value is going to a bank, an insurer or a lawsuit, the expected document is the report of a qualified appraiser, with a physical inspection and a methodology that can be audited. An online tool, Jet Tracker included, serves as a reference for your own decision. Who decides what is accepted as proof of value is the bank, the insurer or the court, and the safe rule is to ask them before spending on any document. The VREF website itself states that its opinion-of-value reports are not USPAP-compliant appraisals and should not replace a formal appraisal for financing, estate, lawsuit or insurance.

Frequently asked questions
Is an online aircraft valuation legally valid?
The Jet Tracker range is indicative: it serves to set the asking price, calibrate an offer and arrive informed at the negotiation. It is calculated from asking prices and sourced references, and the result itself says it is not an appraisal or an offer. When a bank, an insurer or a court asks for a formal valuation, the document is the report of a qualified appraiser, and whoever asks decides what to accept. VREF states on its website that its opinion-of-value reports are not USPAP-compliant appraisals and should not replace a formal appraisal.
Does Jet Tracker value any aircraft?
It values any aircraft that has active listings of the same model or sourced references, and shows the sample used. When there is not enough basis, Jet Tracker says it does not estimate, instead of making up a number. The tool is the aircraft valuation tool.
How much does it cost to value an aircraft on Jet Tracker?
The result is delivered to anyone with an account, and signing up is free. The paid plans and what each includes are on the pricing page.
What is the difference between Jet Tracker and VREF or Aircraft Bluebook?
Jet Tracker starts from the registration, the RAB and active listings, with a Brazil focus, and delivers a range with the comparables in plain view and free signup. VREF and Aircraft Bluebook are subscription value publications, and VREF offers certified appraisals. The websites consulted on Oct 12, 2026 do not disclose price or the geographic basis of the values.
Are JETNET and AMSTAT useful for valuing an aircraft?
They are global-scale transaction, fleet and market databases. The JETNET website cites valuations in the Marketplace and a paid values add-on, but does not explain how the values are calculated; the AMSTAT website describes a valuation tool inside Premier+. For a market range in Brazil, with the comparables in plain view, the tool is Jet Tracker.
How often is the range updated?
The range uses active listings, and in the Oct 12, 2026 consultation the status of the Jet Tracker sources showed listings with an expected weekly cadence and a last view on Oct 9, 2026. The range of each valuation carries the reference date of the comparables.
