Pilatus PC-12 price: what it costs and the PC-12 in Brazil
Used PC-12: median asking price of $4.72M for the NG and $2.6M for the legacy (Jet Tracker, Oct 11, 2026). In Brazil, 60 in operation. What changes the price between generations.

The Pilatus PC-12 is a single-engine turboprop with several generations in circulation (legacy, NG, NGX and PRO), and the price varies a lot from one to the next. A search for “PC-12 price” returns numbers that are not comparable with each other: press estimates, launch prices and resale listings mixed together.
This article separates the three current generations (NG, NGX and PRO) and the legacy versions, uses the asking price in listings monitored by Jet Tracker for the used market, and labels as an estimate everything that has no verified price list.
Jet Tracker does not have a verified 2026 price for the PC-12 PRO, the current generation: the published reference is $6.8 million, typically equipped, in 2025 (Skies Magazine, Mar 2025; AIN, Nov 2025). Used, the median asking price in listings with a price is $4.72 million for the PC-12 NG and $2.6 million for the legacy versions (/45 and /47), on Oct 11, 2026. The NGX has a single listing with a price, at $7.45 million.
How much does a new Pilatus PC-12 cost?
For the PC-12 PRO, the trade press published $6.8 million, typically equipped, at the model's unveiling (Skies Magazine, Mar 2025) and in the coverage of the first deliveries in the United States (AIN, Nov 2025). It is a 2025 figure: Jet Tracker did not verify it against a manufacturer price list and does not have a confirmed price for 2026.
| Generation | Status | Reference price | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| PC-12 PRO (2025 onward) | New, typically equipped | $6.8M (2025 figure) | Skies Magazine (Mar 2025); AIN (Nov 2025) |
| PC-12 NGX (deliveries from 2020) | Catalog reference | $5.5M (estimate) | Jet Tracker catalog reference, queried Oct 11, 2026 |
| PC-12 NG (deliveries from 2008) | Catalog reference | $4.5M (estimate) | Jet Tracker catalog reference, queried Oct 11, 2026 |
The NGX and NG values are the Jet Tracker catalog reference, with no verification against a manufacturer price list: read them as estimates. At the NGX unveiling, Pilatus published a base price of $4.39 million for 2020 and $5.369 million in the typically equipped executive configuration (Pilatus, Oct 2019). The PC-12 PRO, unveiled in March 2025, is the generation Pilatus offers today, with a Garmin G3000 Prime cockpit and Autoland (Skies Magazine, Mar 2025; Pilatus, accessed Oct 11, 2026).
List price and the real acquisition price are different things: interior configuration, avionics and maintenance programs change the final value.
How much does a used Pilatus PC-12 cost?
The PC-12 has a reputation for depreciating slowly. In an October 2017 press release, Pilatus stated, citing the Aircraft Bluebook Digest and an analysis by Rolland Vincent Associates, that five-year-old aircraft retained more than 80% of their original retail value. It is a figure released by the manufacturer, from 2017, and does not measure today's market. In listings, the picture on Oct 11, 2026 is this:
| Generation | Listings worldwide | With a price | Median asking price | Minimum to maximum | In Brazil (listings / with a price / median) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PC-12 legacy (/45 and /47) | 26 | 7 | $2.6M | $1.195M to $3.395M | 4 / 0 / no published price |
| PC-12 NG | 67 | 18 | $4.72M | $2.995M to $6.5M | 15 / 3 / $6.5M (small sample) |
| PC-12 NGX | 26 | 1 | $7.45M (1 listing, small sample) | no range: a single price | 0 listings |

| Year range | Median asking price | Listings with a price |
|---|---|---|
| 2008 | $3.75M | 2 (small sample) |
| 2010 to 2014 | $4.45M | 8 |
| 2015 to 2019 | $5.0M | 7 |

The asking price of the one NGX with a price ($7.45 million) sits above the catalog reference for the generation. Since that reference was not verified against a manufacturer price list, the difference cannot be read as a premium. In Brazil, the monitor has 15 NG listings (3 with a price, median asking price of $6.5 million) and 4 legacy PC-12s, none with a published price. The asking prices Jet Tracker monitors are in dollars, and there are no prices in reais in the database.
What else affects the price of a used PC-12?
- Generation and year of manufacture: newer generations tend to ask more. The NGX brought the PT6E-67XP engine with digital control (FADEC) and a Honeywell cockpit (Pilatus, Oct 2019), and the PRO adopts the Garmin G3000 Prime (Pilatus, accessed Oct 11, 2026). The NGX's PT6E-67XP engine has a TBO of 5,000 hours, according to the Jet Tracker catalog.
- Total airframe and engine hours: between two NGs of the same year, the one with fewer hours tends to ask more (illustrative example: 1,100 hours against 4,000 hours).
- Proximity of the engine overhaul: an upcoming overhaul pulls down the asking price, because the buyer inherits the overhaul cost, which varies with the engine and the scope of the shop.
- Maintenance programs: active coverage under per-hour programs tends to weigh in the negotiation, as long as the program is transferable to the buyer.
- Avionics and interior: an updated panel and a well-kept executive interior shorten the time to sell.
- Damage history: any recorded incident weighs on the price, even if well repaired.
- Configuration: executive versions tend to ask more than utility or air ambulance configurations.
If you are evaluating a specific unit, the market range serves as a starting point, but the number that matters is that of that registration, with those hours and that history. The Jet Tracker aircraft valuation tool asks for the registration, pulls the record from the registry, cross-references comparable listings of the same model, adjusts for year, total hours, hours since engine overhaul, engine program, modifications and damage history, and returns an estimated range with the comparables and the adjustments laid out item by item. It is an estimate, not an appraisal.
The comparables base has 11,966 active listings monitored worldwide as of Oct 12, 2026. The valuation result is delivered to anyone with a free account.
Why is the PC-12 such a hit in Brazil?
Pilatus describes the PC-12 as a versatile aircraft, used by corporate flight departments, air ambulance operators and on special missions (Pilatus, May 2023). The reasons the market usually cites in Brazil:
- Short and unpaved runways: Pilatus highlights operation from short runways and from grass, gravel or snow strips (PC-12 PRO page, accessed Oct 11, 2026), which matters for those who fly to airfields in the interior. It is the same logic by which an Australian air medical service, a Pilatus customer for more than 30 years, takes the model to remote regions (Pilatus, Mar 2026).
- Pressurized cabin with a cargo door: the large cargo door makes it easy to load bulky and heavy items, and the air ambulance configuration accommodates up to three patients with medical equipment (Pilatus, special missions page, accessed Oct 11, 2026).
- Single-engine cost, twin-engine capacity: it carries up to 9 passengers (Pilatus, accessed Oct 11, 2026). The Jet Tracker cost engine estimate for the PC-12 NGX (version canonical-2026-09, 400 hours a year, Southeast Brazil) is $1,775 per hour, against $3,518 for the King Air 360 under the same assumptions. The NGX has a range of 1,803 nm and a cruise of 290 kt.
- Lean used supply: in the same 2017 press release, Pilatus said the used aircraft for sale were around 4% of the global fleet. It is a manufacturer figure, from 2017.
Who operates the PC-12 in Brazil, according to the RAB? Jet Tracker does not publish a list of operators. What the registry shows is the distribution: 60 aircraft in operation in the executive segment, 7th among turboprops, behind the King Air 350 (70) and ahead of the Daher TBM (56). By version, that is 10 legacy PC-12s (/45 and /47), 26 NG and 24 NGX.
Most of the registered fleet is in private use, not air charter. For the picture of the Brazilian used market, see also aircraft for sale in Brazil and the PC-12 NGX page in the catalog.
New vs. used: which is worth more?
| Criterion | New (PC-12 PRO) | Used (NG or NGX) |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $6.8M, typically equipped, in 2025 (Skies Magazine, Mar 2025; AIN, Nov 2025) | Median asking price of $4.72M (NG); NGX with a single price, $7.45M |
| Factory warranty | Yes | No: check the remaining coverage |
| Avionics | Garmin G3000 Prime, with Autoland (Pilatus) | Honeywell cockpit in both generations: check the condition of the panel and the updates |
| Wait | Depends on the production queue: ask the factory | Immediate delivery |
| Initial depreciation | Higher in the first years | Already absorbed by the first owner |
| Maintenance programs | Can be contracted from scratch | Check whether they are active and transferable |
The more hours a year, the more the fixed cost is spread out, on a new or used aircraft. The math is the cost engine's (an estimate for the PC-12 NGX; there is no estimate for the PRO): total per hour = variable + fixed ÷ hours. On the NGX, at 400 hours a year the total is $1,775 per hour, and at 200 hours it rises to about $2,409. For moderate use, a nearly new NGX or a well-maintained NG can be good value, as the market reads it: you pay less for an aircraft with many years of useful life ahead.
